How can I pass parameters to my simulation?

A  test  bench  and  simulation  would likely  need  many  different  parameters  and  settings  for  various sorts of tests and conditions. It's definitely a good idea to concentrate on a single testbench file which is parameterized,  instead of create  a  dozen  seperate,  yet  nearly  identical,  testbenches
