Explain Metrics assumptions of Software metrics

Software metrics

A software property can be calculated.

The relationship exists among what we can measure and what we need to know. We can only measure internal attributes but are often more interested in external software attributes.

This relationship has been validated and formalised.

It may be complex to relate what can be measured to desirable external quality attributes.
