Characteristics of Organisational Development

(xi) Organisational Development utilizes system thinking. This is based on open, adaptive systems idea. The organisation is termed as an interrelated entire and no part of the organisation can be changed without affecting other parts.

(xii) Organisational Development is research depends. Change agents conduct surveys, collect data, calculate and then decisions are taken.

(xiii) Organisational Development uses group processes quite than individual process. This makes efforts to enhance group performance.

(xiv) Organisational Development is contingency and situational oriented.

(xv) Management Development and Organisational Development are complementary rather than conflicting.
