Determine the benefits of Message passing

Message passing provides two major benefits:

An object's properties are expressed by its methods, thus message passing supports all probable interactions among objects.
It closes the gap between objects. Objects do not need to be in the same process, or even on the same machine, to transmit and receive messages back and forth to one another.
