Q. Describe about Instruction set?
Instruction set is the boundary where computer designer and computer programmer see the same computer from various viewpoints. From the designer's prospective, the computer instruction set offers a functional description of a processor that is:
(i) A detailed list of instructions which a processor is capable of processing.
(ii) A depiction of the types/ locations/ access methods for operands.
The common objective of computer designers is to build the hardware for implementing the machine's instructions for CPU. From programmer's prospective the user should understand machine or assembly language for low-level programming. Furthermore the user should be aware of the register set, instruction types as well as function that every instruction performs.
