Basic structure of polymers, Chemistry

Assignment Help:

Q.Illustrate the Basic structure of polymers?

Ans.

Polymers are large organic compounds made of regularly repeating units.

Plastics are made of polymers.

Polymers are also found in living things. DNA and proteins are examples of polymers.

A simple polymerization reaction is the reaction of many ethylenes to make polyethylene. Notice that the basic unit is ethylene ( -CH2-CH2- ).
