S. along with or toward the other states and international entities. Its legitimacy originates ultimately from famous will, but immediately and formally from the Constitution that divides authority among the executive, judicial and legislative branches of government. Practically it is mostly created in the White House and the Departments of State and Defense and executed through various diplomatic, military and economic agencies. The guiding opinion of foreign policy is all the time stated to be the national interest, although interpretations of this are frequently controversial. Ethnic and Religious groups, corporations and the media are influential and appearances of public opinion, variously mediated such are frequently politically decisive in what is, generally a remarkably demonstrative and democratic culture.
