Distribution of Digits in the Irrational Number Pi The number is an irrational number with the property that when we try to express it in decimal form, it requires an in- finite number of decimal places and there is no pattern of repetition. In the decimal representation of p, the first 100 digits occur with the frequencies described in the accompanying table. At the 0.05 significance level, test the claim that the digits are uniformly distributed.
