A smart, anti armour weappon is launched of an aircraft flying at 250 knots (422 FT/s) straight and level at an altitude of 300FT above the ground, the weapon is released from the aircraft with an initial downward velocity of 15FT/s. The weapon will fly intact for 2.23 seconds when it will open and begin function. Neglect air friction.

a) Determine the altitude above ground level when the weapon opens

b) Determine the total velocity (magnitude and direction)when the weapon is open

c) Determine a_t and a_n (magnitude and direction for both) when the weapon opens
