Workday versus oracle, Computer Engineering

Assignment Help:

Workday has set the stage to revolutionize the way companies manage and facilitatevarious aspects of their business operationsby utilizing cutting-edge cloud-based technologies in the ERP industry. The CEOs of Workday are challenging legacy companies, such as Oracle, by implementing state-of-the-art SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) HR solutions that are threatening the traditional style of expensive ‘on-premise' ERP systems. The new cloud-based technology centralizes HR databases, allowing remote global access and accelerated automatic updates to ensure their customers are usingthe most recent versions.Workday's userinterfaces were designed to be so intuitive that they are extremely easy to learn with very little training required. They have forced the hand of PeopleSoft, now owned by Oracle, to adopt the new wave of ERP systems. Oracle has had to rethink their view of cloud-based systems, causing them to acquire pre-established companies specializing in cloud technology in order to remain a viable competitor in the industry.
