Why do Jovian planets have rings?

- Ring particles cannot have lasted for billions of years so the particles we see today must have been created recently.
- New ring particles are being released by impacts on small moons within the rings.
- Small ones are created by countless tiny impact on the surfaces of the moon. Large particles come from impacts that shatter the moons.
