Which are the phases of the menstrual cycle?
The menstrual cycle is separated into two main phases: the follicular (or menstrual) phase and the luteal (or secretory) phase.
The menstrual phase starts at the first day of menses and lasts until ovulation (around the 14th day). The luteal phase starts after ovulation and ends when menses starts (around the 28th day).
