What makes a public opinion poll scientific, Public Economics

Assignment Help:

What makes a public opinion poll scientific

1. To what extent do we really think about political issues as individuals, or are we more influenced by our environment -family, the media, where we live, etc.  What are the origins of our opinions?  What do you think (no irony intended)?  Give examples to support your viewpoint.

2. What makes a public opinion poll scientific? Please go to the internet, or non-electronic media, and identify one example of a scientific poll and one example of a non-scientific poll. Describe the polls briefly and discuss their relative validity. Suggestion: realclearpolitics.com has many campaign polls. For nonscientific polls, use your imagination: American Idol? A Myspace poll?
