What is UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS, Electrical Engineering

Assignment Help:

What is USB?

USB: The USB (UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS) is intended to join peripheral devices as keyboards, modems, a mouse and sound cards to the microprocessor by a serial data path and a wires' twisted pair. The main idea is to decrease system cost by reducing the number of wires. One more advantage is that the sound system can have a separate power supply by the PC that means less noise. The data transfer rates by the USB are 12 Mbps at present.
