A person is making a ray tracing diagram to determine the characteristics of an image formed by a converging lens. Consequently far the person has gotten as far as drawing one of the principal rays. What is unavoidably wrong with the ray tracing diagram so far?

The outline of the lens is simply an icon telling the reader what kind of lens one is dealing with. Its boundaries are certainly not to be taken as the actual outline of the lens.
