The Five steps to data encapsulation (IN ORDER):
1) User information is changed into data.
2) Data is changed into segments.
3) Segments are changed into datagram and packets.
4) Packets are placed into logical frame.
5) Frames are placed into bits
UDP is connectionless, and does not give error checking. But remember, error checking can happen at other layers too.
