What is the European law?

European law:

Designed to make a single market for European member states to trade freely all along with each but has as moved onto a closer tie into political union and a single economic because the Maastricht Treaty.

The UK being a member state has accepted European law like part of UK law and also Parliament is no longer the supreme law-maker. This cannot override EU law and whole UK courts must abide by this.
