Intracellular digestion take place by the action of lysosomes. Lysosomes have digestive enzymes (hydrolases) that are made in the rough endoplasmic reticulum and stored in the Golgi apparatus. Hydrolase- are Lysosomes containing vesicles that detach from the Golgi apparatus.
