What is Forward Error Correction and data words
Forward error correction
It is the process in which the receiver tries to guess the message by using redundant bits.
Data Words
In block coding, we separate our message into blocks, each of k bits, called as datawords. The block coding process is one-to-one. The same dataword is always encoded as the same codeword.
