What is common end?

The fiber or fibers should be connected to the illuminator. Particularly in the case of a number of fibers, these have to be bunched together and contain securely. The common end is the fusion, encapsulation or grouping where all of the fibers from a bundle come together and all are cut flush and even, prepared or polished to connect to the illuminator port.
