Q. What is an intrinsic semiconductor? Give any two examples.

A) A semiconductor which is pure as well as contains no impurity is known as an intrinsic semiconductor.

B) In an intrinsic semiconductor the numeral of free electrons and holes are equal. General examples of intrinsic semiconductors are pure germanium and silicon.
