What do you signify by cash, Financial Management

Assignment Help:

Q. What do you signify by Cash?

Cash :- For the motive of cash management the term cash not only includes cheques, bank drafts, coins, currency, notes, demand deposits with banks but as well the 'near-cash assets' like marketable securities and time deposits with banks for the reason that they can be readily converted into cash. For the use of cash management near-cash assets are as well included under cash because surplus cash is required to be invested in near-cash assets for the time being.
