What do we mean by  the term isomer?

Existence of different compounds having  same molecular form  but dtfferent structural  forms  are isomers. Monosaccharides exhibit a variet of isomerism such  as stereoisomerism, optical  isomerism,  aldose-ketose isomerism  etc.
