What is pipelining? What are the various hazards encountered in pipelining?
Explain in detail.
The major characteristics of a pipeline are:
a) Pipelining cannot be executed on a single task, as it works by splitting multiple tasks into a number of subtasks and operating on them concurrently.
b) The speedup or efficiency achieved by suing a pipeline depends on the number of pipe stages and the number of obtainable tasks that can be subdivided.
c) If the task that can be subdivided has uneven length of execution times, then the speedup of the pipeline is decreased.
d) Though the pipeline architecture does not reduce the time of implement of a single task, it reduces the overall time taken for the whole job to get completed.
The various pipeline hazards are:
1. Data hazard
2. Structural Hazard
3. Control Hazard.

Data movement instructions shift data from one location to another. The source and destination locations are verified by the addressing modes, and can be registers or memory. Many
In this technique, operand field of instruction includes an address and an index register thatcomprises an offset. This addressing scheme is normally used to address the consecutiv

These five questions are part of the assignment. The answers of each question can be written in around 300 words (with relevant diagrams and Refrences). Assignement should be comnp
Q. Example on hamming error correcting code? For illustration a 4-bit matching word can stand for 2 4 =16 values that range from 0 to 15 as: 0000, 0001, 0010, 0011, 0100, 01
The preorder traversal sequence of a binary search tree is 30, 20, 10, 15, 25, 23, 39, 35, 42. Which one of the following is the postorder traversal sequence of the same tree?
Explain The do while loops The do while loops is similar, but the test occurs after the loop body is executed. This ensures that the loop body is run at least once.
