b.    Model the decision whether to participate in a rally like our two period model about the decision of a high school graduate deciding whether to attend college.

i.     What are the direct costs of participating in a rebellion? (e.g. H)

ii.    What are the foregone wages for these individuals who are receiving relatively low wages before the uprisings? (w1)

iii.    Thinking about what the protesters wanted, what would be the relationship between first period wages and the expected wages for the second period (assuming the protest is successful)?  (w2)

iv.   What conclusions can we draw about who will participate in the uprisings?
