Assignment Help:

Q. What are fossil fuels?

The Fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas, form when organic material is preserved from the complete action of decomposers, generally buried deep and under pressure over millions of years. Under such circumstances the organic material transforms into hydrocarbon fuels.

The Fossil fuels are a natural reservoir of carbon. When the oxygen is present these fuels can be burned and carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide are released into the atmosphere.
