Veterinary Science: This is the study of domestic animals. Veterinary science or veterinary medicine is the branch of science which deals with the application of surgical, medical, dental, public, health, diagnostic, or therapeutic principles to non-human animals, including wildlife or domesticated animals, companion animals or including livestock, working animals. 

Practitioners of veterinary medicine or science are called as veterinarians. In mostly developed countries, veterinarians are very highly qualified professionals with advanced educations. Veterinary science helps in human health by monitoring or control of zoonotic disease like infectious disease transmitted from non-human animals to humans or veterinary scientists often collaborate with epidemiologists.
