Uses of Cement

Cement is utilized widely for the construction of several structures. Some of them are listed below:

(i) Cement slurry is utilized for filling cracks in concrete structures.

(ii) Cement mortar is utilized for masonry work, plastering and pointing.

(iii) Cement concrete is utilized for the construction of several structures like buildings, bridges, tunnels, Water tanks docks, harbors etc.

(iv) Cement is utilized to manufacture lamp posts, railway sleepers, telephone posts, piles etc.

(v) For manufacturing garden seats, cement pipes, dust bins, flower pots etc. cement is generally used.

(vi) It is useful for the construction of roads, courts, footpaths, for several sports etc.
