Uses of Aromatic Nitro Compounds

(a) Aromatic Nitro Compounds are used on account of their high polarity, aromatic nitro compounds are used as solvents.

(b) Nitro compounds such as TNT, picric acid, TNB etc. are widely utilized as explosives.

(c) Aromatic Nitro Compounds are used for the synthesis of aromatic amino compounds.

(d) Nitro benzene is utilized in the preparation of shoe polish and scenting of cheap soaps.
