Use scattered lighting for underwater inspection of bridge, Civil Engineering

Assignment Help:

Define Use of scattered lighting for Underwater inspection of Bridge

In this arrangement, a very high powered, tight beam spot light (beam angle less than 10°) is used. The lamp is directed near but not at the object. The object is illuminated by scattered light from the high power lamp beam along the light path. Because the illuminating light is scattered and diffused, the effect of backscatter tends to be much reduced as there is little directly reflected light.
