Types of Substituents which Produce Directive Effect
There are two kinds of substituents which generate directive effect are,
(i) Those that direct the incoming group to ortho- and para-positions at the same time (Neglecting meta all together).
(ii) Those which depict the incoming set to meta-position only (Neglecting ortho- and para-positions all together).
