Types of Rectifier:

Half wave Rectifier:

The half wave rectifier allows positive half cycle of alternating current to pass through the circuit but negative half cycle is suppressed and no current flows.

Full wave Rectifier:

In full wave rectifier two diode D1 and D2 are used along with center tapped winding AB of a transformer.
