You need to choose between two replacement compressor options. One costs $6400 and is 70% efficient. The other costs $9800 and is 85% efficient. Both have an average life of 8 years and no salvage value. Both use a maximum of 55 kW and will operate for 300 hours a month year round. Which do you choose if your MARR is 15% and energy costs $0.08/kWh?
