Tingling or numbness is seen in cases of neuropathy. It occurs gradually over time. As high sugar (glucose) in the blood damages the nervous system, particularly in the extremities these symptoms and signs are seen in type 2 diabetic patients. The symptoms of neuropathy can be improved with good blood sugar control. The other complaints of the patient could be dry skin, itching, decreased vision, and patient is  prone to various infections and delayed healing of wound. In case a patient is complaining of the above symptoms or you observe the signs in the patient you should advise the patient to go to the doctor and follow advises suggested by the doctor.
