The Voltage Control
A voltage controller, also known as an AC voltage controller or AC regulator is an electronic module which is based on either thyristors, SCRs, TRIACs or IGBTs, that converts a fixed voltage, fixed frequency alternating current (AC) electrical input supply to get variable voltage within output delivered to a resistive load. This varied voltage output is used for dimming street lights, varying heating temperatures within homes or industry, speed control of fans and winding machines and several other applications, in a same fashion to an autotransformer.
