THE RAPEUTIC NURSE:
Development of therapeutic nurse patient relationship is the basic requirement of nursing. A helping relationship in nursing may be explained as an interpersonal process in which one person, that is, a nurse facilitates the personal developmentor growth of another person, the patient. Therapeutic relationship is different from social relationship. In the following unit you will read about the concept of therapeutic relationship, the phase of nurse patient relationship the tasks which a nurse is expected to complete in each phasc.
