Development of therapeutic nurse patient relationship is the basic requirement of nursing. A helping relationship in nursing may be explained as an interpersonal process in which one person, that is, a nurse facilitates the personal developmentor growth of another person, the patient. Therapeutic relationship is different from social relationship.
