Synchro resolvers for high load

The receiver rotor is driven by an electric motor to a null position, i.e. the receiver coil will be aligned at 90o to the transmitter coil. Any subsequent rotation of the transmitter rotor induces voltage in the receiver rotor, which is amplified and passed to the motor. The receiver synchro is driven until it is aligned with the transmitter. The torque transferred is limited by the electric motor not the synchro.
