State two conditions to obtain sustained interference of light
In Young's double slit experiment, using light of wavelength 400 nm, in terference fringes of width 'X' are obtained. The wavelength of light is enhanced to 600 nm and the separation among the slits is halved. If one wants the observed fringe width on the screen to be the same in the two cases, find the ratio of the distance among the screen and the plane of the interfering sources in the two arrangements.
Light is quantized. Photons are light quanta. It has zero REST mass. Therefore, it always travels at maximum speed permitted by relativity
Explain about the term simulated absorption in brief. Stimulated absorption: a. For the photon-atom interaction to happen, the energy of the interacting photon h? must match

Introduction of physics- Physics Essentials Why do most people believe physics is too hard? Most people get hung up by the feeling that they do not 100% totally understand what
If a great point-mass is removed by a weightless, inextensible and perfectly flexible string from a rigid support, then this arrangement is known as a simple pendulum.
Question: In diffraction experimentation monochromatic light which passes through a single slit illuminates a screen. A pattern of fringes seems on the screen. The pattern comp
When Temperature increases, intensity increases, but in some time intensity decreases,Why?
Q. What is Fresnel diffraction? a) The source as well as the screen are at finite distances from the obstacle producing diffraction. b) The wave front suffer diffraction is
