Mainframe computers are very large, often can fill an entire room. They can store a large amount of information, can execute many tasks at the same time, can communicate with many other users at same time, and are very much expensive. . The cost of a mainframe computer is into the millions of dollars.  Mainframe computers normally have many terminals connected to them.  These terminals resemble  small computers but  they  are  only  devices  used  to  transmit and  receive  information  from actual computer with wires.   Terminals can be located in same room with mainframe computer,  but  they  can  also  stored in  different  rooms,  buildings  or  cities
