A body cavity that isn't completely lined by mesoderm. Mesoderm is associated with only the ectodermal surface but not endoderm. There is some debate on how psedocoelom forms. It is by definition a remnant of blastocoel but often body cavities are defined as pseudocoeloms without properly making this developmental link.
