Q. What is the difference between sperm and spermatids cells? What is the name of the transformation of spermatids into sperm cells?

Sperm cells (the male gametes) are matured spermatids that have already undergone differentiation (reduction of the cytoplasm, appearance of the flagellum, formation of the acrosome, and increase in the number of mitochondria). This differentiation process is known as spermiogenesis.
