In the statement about safety organization various functions have been mentioned. Yet, a clear description is lacking. Without much elaboration a list of safety functions is presented here. The safety functions are:

  1. Occupational health
  2. Safety in material handling
  3. Industrial safety Compensation
  4. Workers' compensation claim management
  5. Industrial hygiene
  6. Environmental control
  7. Property conservation
  8. Health and safety information system

Fortunately the functions are self explanatory. The remaining part of text will deal with important aspects of some of these functions in some details.
