RST Restart Instructions

Restart instructions  are one byte call instructions. Called location for each restart instruction is  predefined on page 0 ( read only memory). They transfer the program execution to the predefined memory  location.  These instructions also  save the  contents  of the  program counter(PC)  register on the  stack. They are also  called software interrupts . the instruction format is

          RST n

Where n  may be 0-7.
