The tenths place is the ?rst number to the right of the decimal. Here the number 8 is in the tenths place. To decide whether to round up or stay the similar, look at the number to the right of the tenths place. Because that number is 5 or above, round the tenths place up to 9 and drop the digits after the tenths place.
