Relationship between the graph of a function and its inverse, Algebra

There is interesting relationship among the graph of function and its inverse.

Here is the graph of the function & inverse from the first examples. We'll not deal along with the ultimate example as that is a function that we haven't actually talked about graphing yet.

In this cases we can see that the graph of the inverse is a reflection of the actual function about the line y = x .  It will always be the case along with the graphs of a function and its inverse.
