The Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Complex (PDC) is one of the single central enzymes of aerobic metabolism. After completion of this animation you should know its significance in terms of how the PDC fits within with the overall scheme of metabolism, the nature of the reactions in which the enzyme complex catalyzes and how the enzyme is controlled, that in turn regulates the flow of metabolites.
