A block of mass m is tied to a cord of length L that is pivoted at the center of a frictionless table. A second block of mass m is tied to the ?rst block also on a cord of length L, and both are set in motion so that they rotate together at angular speed ω as given above. The tensions T₁ and T₂ in the cords are:

1) T₁ = 3mω²L, T₂ = 2mω²L

2) T₁ = mω²L, T₂ = 2mω²L

3) T₁= mω²L, T₂ = mω²L

4) T₁ = 2mω²L, T₂ = 2mω²L

5) T₁= mω²L, T₂ = 4mω²L
