Q. Plant layout and equipment spacing?

Layout refers to the location of plants (and process/power units within the plants and associated utilities (or balance of plant)) as well as the location of equipment items within those units. It also includes making provision for offsite areas such as storage areas, load out facilities, offices and access roads. In this context equipment includes buildings, control rooms, power islands, switch gear and motor control centers, workshops, store rooms etc. Also included are overall arrangements of the support structure and consideration of construction / installation methods and hook-up and commissioning.
