There is no specific treatment but residual streptococci may be eradicated with procaine pencillin for 7 days as advised by concerned physician. The vital signs are monitored regularly and child need to be watched for indication of cerebral manifestation due to hypertension. Antihypertensive drugs are used to control blood pressure.
