Performance instrumentation focuses on how to resourcefully collect information about computation of parallel computer. Method of instrumentation mostly tries to capture information about applications by adding numerous kind of instrument like a code or a procedure or a function in to source code of program or may be at time of execution. Main effect of these kind of instrumentation is generation of some useful data for performance tools. Performance instrumentation occasionally causes certain problems termed as intrusion problems.
Q. Analysis of Amdahls law? The conclusions of analysis of Amdahl's law are: 1) To optimize performance of parallel computers modified compilers should be developed that sho
Described virtual memory Ans: Data is to be stored in physical memory locations that have addresses different from those that specified by the program. The memory control circu
Q. Sequential Execution of Instructions in RISC? Let's describe pipelining in RISC with an illustration program execution sample. Take the given program (R denotes register).
Input a list of positive numbers, terminated by 0, into an array Numbers. Then display the array and the largest and smallest number in it.
What is pipelining? The overlapping of implementation of successive instructions is known as pipelining.
Explain the necessary conditions for deadlock to occur. Conditions for deadlock to arise are: i. Mutual exclusion: At least one resource must be held in a non-sharable mo
Reduce the following equation using k-map Y = BC‾D‾ + A‾BC‾D + ABC‾D + A‾BCD + ABCD Ans. Multiplying the first term with (A+A') Y = A'BC'D' + ABC'D' + A'BC'D + ABC'D + A'BCD + A
